What is Trauma-Informed Practice?
Being trauma-informed means understanding and maintaining awareness of neurological, biological, psychological, and social impacts of trauma on individuals, families, communities, and cultures. The goal of Trauma-Informed Practice is to promote safety, choice, empowerment, trust, and collaboration so that no one feels re-victimized.
